PROJECT SURVIVAL'S CAT HAVEN
.
While I am not a fan of animals being kept in cages, there are always exceptions. In this instance the enclosures are required for two reasons. Firstly to protect humans who have been brainwashed by Disney into thinking that Big Cats are cute and cuddly (just like the Lion King) and that you can just go up to them and pet them as you would with any domestic cat or dog. Parents need to teach their kids the difference between Wild and Domestic animals. I was very pleased to see the tour guides at the Cat Haven doing this, with some young children being told repeatedly to stay behind the designated lines at each enclosure
Secondly and more importantly, the enclosures provide a safe environment for these amazing creatures in which to live and thrive. Yes I understand, in the wild Its - survival of the fittest. However today, in the wild, the odds are stacked against these animals, with humans poaching for sport, being their biggest threat.
Project Survival's Cat Haven is dedicated to the preservation & conservation of these majestic animals. They provide educational programs that promote respect for these animals, that we share this planet with, along with environmental care & protection, something that I fully support.
Thats me, I'm done - enjoy the photographs..... Fraser Bannister
