CLOVIS BALLOON FESTIVAL

CLOVIS, California - The Clovis Balloon Festival is the opening event and part of the annual ClovisFest, Arts & Crafts fair held in the heart of California's Central Valley. Held in the City's rodeo grounds, thousands of people get together before sunrise to watch the balloons being prepared for flight. Once the sun rises the balloons are inflated and rise into the sky to drift off over the valley. Depending on the wind direction, if they drift off to the East the fliers will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the Sierra Nevada, that includes Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks.
